It’s been fifteen years since I dove head-first into the psychic swimming pool. Fifteen years of offering readings, listening to angels, and relaying messages to people searching for answers. When I connect with my client’s spirit guides, the insight and information are personalized and very specific. But over the years, I’ve noticed the angels offering broader messages as well - advice that would benefit the lives of anyone, regardless of their faith or background. You can think of these as universal truths or wise words to live by. The following top ten list is the best advice I’ve ever heard from spirit guides. Apply them to your life however you wish. And please forward this article to anyone who might need some positivity today.
Create! Pursuing creative activities raises your vibration. Express yourself through music, art, writing, decorating, crafting, photography, cooking, or any method you desire. To create is to be human. The entire world is our canvas, and there are masterpieces to create.
Living in the moment is a significant key to happiness. It’s not easy, and it takes a lot of practice. When we dwell on the past, we may find regret. When we focus on the future, we may find anxiety. The present moment is truly all we have; all we’re really guaranteed. Be mindful. Be present. And simply focus on what you can control. Let go of the rest.
Feeling “off track” doesn’t mean you’re actually lost. Life presents us with so many options. No matter your path, you might wonder if you’re headed in the right direction. Don’t worry about the destination. Getting there is an inevitability. Feel free to take the scenic route through life, experiencing and enjoying all the variety we’re blessed with. Along the way, you might lose yourself, find yourself, and reinvent yourself occasionally. What’s most important is that you’re learning, growing, and evolving along the way.
Gratitude is powerful. Counting your blessings is a sure way to bring more happiness and abundance into your life. Focus on the good, not the bad. Focus on solutions rather than problems. Feel grateful for every person and event that’s positively impacted your life. If you can manage this, you’ll be able to sit back and watch the good vibes keep rolling into your life.
Run towards opportunities, but do not run from your problems. Moving halfway across the country might be a great idea if you’ve landed a dream job or found the love of your life. But it’s not advisable to move halfway across the country while hoping to avoid the internal demons you’re running from. As you know, our problems tend to follow us until we’re brave enough to face them.
You might bend, but you’ll never break. There will be times when life feels overwhelming and scary. You’ll be pushed to your limits and might doubt whether you have the strength to carry on. Through it all, you’ll discover you’re more resilient than ever imagined. Your brain might get tired, and your body might take a beating. But your soul will always remain intact.
Find a spiritual path that works best for you. Whatever belief system you adhere to is perfectly fine… as long as it makes you a better person and doesn’t harm anyone else in the process. Many people find comfort in formal religion because the rules and expectations are spelled out in black and white. Belonging to a church is like hiking on a designated path while holding a map of the forest. Practicing spirituality is like blazing your own trail through the wilderness without a compass. A spiritual journey might be more challenging at times, but it might ultimately prove to be more rewarding in the end (depending on the person.)
If you’re not having fun, you’re doing something wrong. Life is meant to be enjoyed, and it’s a shame we take it so seriously much of the time. Somewhere along the line, many adults forget how to be silly and whimsical. A surefire way to raise your vibration is to laugh, have fun, and seek out humor. Some angels have told me that when we laugh, our auras glow brighter… kind of like a solar flare!
Live fearlessly. Admittedly, this is easier said than done. It requires having faith that things will generally shake out in our best interest. I have to admit that every time I’ve done something scary or outside my comfort zone, it taught me a valuable lesson, and I was glad that I took the leap. Ultimately, each decision in life is rooted in one of two things - fear or love. Let go of the fear and trust that love truly is the most powerful force in the universe.
Leave the world in better shape than you found it. While leaving your stamp on the world, strive to have a positive impact on the people who call this place home. Be generous. Live by the golden rule. Spread kindness every chance you get. We only get one planet. Sharing it with eight billion others can lead to friction at times. Peacefully cohabitating with others requires empathy, inclusion, and open-mindedness. How you go about changing your own little corner of the world is entirely up to you. Strive to be a light that illuminates the darkness. Hate cannot breathe in a place of pure love.
