Chaos creates opportunity for soul growth. Soooo… given the current state of the country, it looks like some of us are in for a growth spurt.
Buckle up, people. If you feel like an unwilling passenger on a spaceship that’s currently spiraling through an asteroid field… you’re not alone.
The good news is that your soul wouldn’t have signed up to play this game called Life unless you were equipped to handle every possible scenario… even this one. Right now, living an inspired life is sort of like that weird trick play in the football coach’s playbook… the one that nobody understood in practice and was redrawn a dozen times before it was scrapped as Plan Z.
I know what some of you are thinking right now. Is it time to “break glass in case of emergency”? Will the aliens finally land and fix this mess that’s been created? Will our spirit guides throw in the towel and pull our souls to safety? I know some folks who would jump at the chance to be… well, anywhere but here.
If you feel like the whole world is upside down at the moment, you’re not alone. I feel you. I see you. I hear your cries, and I can sympathize with your concerns. If you know me or have been following me for any length of time, then you are familiar with my values and principles. Empathy. Inclusion. Reason and understanding. Positivity, kindness, and hope for a better tomorrow. Sadly, these values are not at the forefront of our society right now. And it’s a tough pill to swallow.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Kindness will never go out of style. And I don’t care if it’s currently “uncool” to show emotion or demonstrate love for those who are different than me. My heart goes out to the women. The children. The racial minorities. The immigrants. Those marginalized by the system, and the beautiful souls being attacked for their sexual preferences or gender identities. My soul aches for each of you.
It’s an odd time to be a Girl Dad. I’m doing my best to instill a sense of confidence and purpose within my young daughter. In some respects, Sky is a rule-follower. But somewhere inside of her, she also has a rebellious streak. I love this and encourage it. I’ve shown her the rotting foundation of our patriarchal system in hopes she’ll stand upon it and watch the system crumble once and for all. My wish is that I live long enough to see it happen.
Sky knows that women earn eighty-four cents for every dollar earned by men. She knows that racism is alive and well. She knows that companies are eliminating policies of diversity, equity, and inclusion due to pressure from billionaires and the government. “Being diverse, equal, and inclusive are good things,” she cries out in anger. I agree, struggling to explain how things have gotten to this point.
But as a white male, many would see me as part of the problem, not the solution. After all, for centuries the world has largely been ruled by white men… and look what a mess we’ve created. Sometimes, I feel guilty by association. Then again, I’ve never considered myself a “guy’s guy”. So perhaps it’s fitting that I’m wearing a shirt that says Feminist Dad as I write these words.
Sky’s old enough to see the world for what it is. But she’s wise enough to realize what it could be… if only teamwork prevailed over ego, and compassion won over division. This is why she wants to be a politician and activist… to BE the change she wishes to see in the world. I’m behind her 100%
This is not a political blog. Then again, it seems like the definition of politics is not what it used to be. Identifying with one’s party has nothing to do with politics anymore. It’s a way of living. A mentality. A badge that a person publicly displays for all to see… for better or worse.
I saw a window sticker on a truck the other day that showed our president giving the middle finger and smiling. I doubt George Washington or Abraham Lincoln could have envisioned a future like this. Where is the decorum? Where is the decency? I recently saw another vehicle decal that said, “F*ck your feelings.” I’ve seen Confederate flags flying, and a guy at the store wearing a white supremacy hat. One truck window displayed AR-15 rifles formed into the shape of a cross. Just what Jesus would have wanted, right? A religious symbol intimidating people who are already scared of gun violence. It’s weaponizing religion in the most literal sense.
All of this is sad and completely unnecessary. Then again, so are the other scare tactics being deployed from the top down at the moment. Conveniently, the people displaying these hateful messages were also advertising their political party on their trucks, shirts, and hats, so there’s no misinterpreting the tribe with which they identify. This high-octane negativity has also affected our nation’s flag.
I’ve always loved the American flag. Red, white, and blue. It’s so pretty and bright. Yet lately, the colors are missing from our flag. I see people sporting American flags that are gray in color or all black. They’re everywhere. On shirts. On hats. On truck windows and flying outside of people’s homes. They remind me of smoke or ash or mud… dark, dingy, soul-less symbols that you might see in a dystopian futuristic movie. This trend of black flags has historical origins in the “no quarter” mentality - an outward sign that a person will take no prisoners and is willing to fight to the death. All of these intimidating fashion statements give a sense of dread and despair. Most unsettling of all, that’s the intended message by those who display them. Again, this is not a political post. It’s an article about human decency (or lack thereof).
People often ask me what it’s like to be a professional intuitive. What’s it like talking to angels? What’s it like being the middleman between this world and the afterlife? It’s a tricky question to answer right now, because the tone from people in Heaven involves peace, unity, love for all, tolerance, honesty, respect, and empathy —values that are not being demonstrated by half of the country right now. Spirits have shown me the blueprint of living an inspired life - one of morals, compassion, and decency. I’ve passed along these messages in my books, lectures, and psychic readings. People accept and validate the personal messages but discard anything related to the broader picture, especially if it doesn’t align with their party’s agenda.
This is why the spirit realm is very concerned about our current situation. Our loved ones in the afterlife promote unconditional love. Meanwhile, half the population has placed all their stock in someone who promotes unconditional hate and vengeance for anyone who doesn’t kiss the ring. These two contradicting mindsets leave me scratching my head. So, what is it like to be psychic in today’s world? It’s frustrating. It’s frustrating to see this many people stray so far off track that fundamental kindness and logic have gone out the window. Maybe I’m just stubborn and unwilling to conform. But I know in my heart this is not how we’re meant to live.
“When the whole world is running towards a cliff, he who is running in the opposite direction appears to have lost his mind.” - C.S. Lewis
I can no longer remain silent on matters that transcend politics or conflict with my spiritual values. A person cannot support what is currently happening in this country and claim to live a spiritual lifestyle. It doesn’t make sense. That would be like an arsonist claiming to be the fire marshal. I talk to angels all day long, and even they are left speechless by this level of gaslighting. It’s unprecedented and hard to comprehend.
Why would anyone be in favor of budget cuts to science, research, and education when we all want intelligent children and cures for cancers? Why would we deny the existence of climate change when each year brings more extreme weather than we’ve ever seen before? Why would we relax gun laws when there’s a new school shooting each week? Why would we ignore the ongoing mental health crisis when we’re all experiencing anxiety or depression? Why would we do away with Veterans Day and diminish the significance of Pride Month? How is this making the country a better, safer, or happier place to live? Now, try viewing this mess from the perspective of our guardian angels. What would you tell people on Earth if you were an angel concerned for their well-being?
I certainly don’t claim to have all the answers. But I will say this. Hate cannot withstand the test of time. Like a candle, it will extinguish in a vacuum with no air because it will suffocate. Like a dying star collapsing, it will eventually implode, taking with it all the individuals naive enough to believe in its power. To suckle at the breast of any authoritarian regime is ill-advised for many reasons. Firstly, because the old saying is true that absolute power corrupts absolutely. And secondly, fanning the flames of ego, misogyny, and discrimination is utterly exhausting.
It’s harder to be an asshole than it is to be kind. It takes more work to stack lies upon lies than it does to be honest. It’s more difficult to control than it is to set something free. A child can understand these simple truths. But sadly, those in power demonstrate a fundamental lack of human decency, and it’s having a trickle-down effect on a large portion of society.
“…constant lying is not aimed at making the people believe a lie, but at ensuring that no one believes anything anymore. A people who can no longer distinguish between truth and lies cannot distinguish between right and wrong. With such a people, you can do whatever you want.” - Ominous warning from Hannah Arendt (German historian and philosopher)
The cruel joke is that the very people intent on spreading fear and cruelty are attracting those very same qualities into their own lives. Everything is matter. Everything is vibration. Everything is energy. Positive attracts positive. Negative attracts negative. This isn’t rocket science. It’s spirituality 101. Yet, this logic is lost on the fear mongers because they aren’t spiritual to begin with.
We get back what we give. The Universe is simply a mirror that reflects everything we think, do, and feel. The people with giant “F*ck Yous” on their windows will eventually drown in their own negativity, because that’s the vibration they’re aligned with. I wouldn’t wish that upon them, but it’s the reality they’re creating for themselves.
In all the smoke and mirrors, some people have lost a truth we’re all born knowing. That love is our default setting. Happiness is our birthright. Joy is oxygen for the soul. These traits are the very foundation of harmony and stability. Yet, harmony and stability no longer appeal to some people. They believe that winning is more important than honesty and that power is more alluring than integrity.
It’s only a matter of time before love and logic prevail. I feel in my soul that we’re on the verge of a cataclysmic change. With so many moving parts, it’s hard to predict the timing of when it will happen… but it’s coming. Perhaps not in the form of a world-ending event. Not in the form of complete societal collapse. And (unfortunately) not because the aliens will come save us from ourselves.
Rather, I believe we’re on the cusp of a major consciousness shift. The death of one cycle and the birth of another. Releasing primitive ways of thinking in favor of a more peaceful and progressive mindset. Things might get worse before they get better. I’ll say that again. Things might get worse before they get better. But a shift is inevitable. It’s time to sink or swim. The waters are getting choppy out there, and it’s time to show what we’re really made of.
The world is a little noisy and messy right now. I want to think this is how we envisioned it before coming here. For, within the chaos, the greed, the bigotry, and the discrimination, we are given a chance to do what we do best. We are given the opportunity to make a bad situation better. We can innovate. We can inspire change. We can make our voices heard and share our light with others who have lost their spark along the way.
I’m sure by now, you can read between the lines. If not, I’ll make it easy for you. I’m liberal.
If you’ve ever spoken with me, this will come as no surprise. It’s plain to see and may as well be tattooed on my forehead. I’m not just liberal in the political sense. My soul is liberal. You see, the word liberal is derived from the Latin word liber, which means free. Get it? Liberty. Freedom.
This is fitting, because I’m making a conscious effort to live a life that’s FREE of worry, doubt, fear, or sadness. My mind is FREE of the lies perpetuated by those in power. My soul is FREE of hatred, division, or the illusion that we humans are separate. In reality, we are one consciousness experiencing eight billion different realities.
I choose to see the good in the world. Happiness is a choice that I make daily, and nobody can take that from me. Not the politicians. Not the corrupt system. Not the white men running this country who think the solution is putting other white men in power. I’m over it. Above it. Beyond it. I am the creator of my own joy. The shaper of my own reality. And I will not stop believing in a better tomorrow - not just for me, but for everyone! Women, children, people of color, ethnic minorities, forgotten veterans, aging seniors, and all humans regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. I see you all. I feel you. I hear your cries. And one day soon, those tears of sadness will transform into tears of joy. Mark my words.
My goal in writing this isn’t to persuade anyone or shift anyone’s beliefs. Clearly, people will believe whatever they want to believe. The point of this article is to ignite hope within the hearts of those who have lost it, and to speak words of truth at a time when honesty is in short supply. If this article angers you, it just means it wasn’t written for you. It was written for those who need a little hope because they realize our current reality is not sustainable and that there’s more to our reality than meets the eye.
Good things are coming. This is true because there is still goodness inside most people. You can see it when you look in their eyes - beyond the worry, below the doubts, beneath a few layers of hope, you can see a kindness in their eyes that still contains a spark of the Divine. It’s a faint, glowing ember that cannot be extinguished. This internal spark is ever-present in the old souls and lightworkers of the world. It intensifies each time we hold our heads high and dare to believe things will get better. It’s luminous enough to be seen from the far reaches of time and space. And it grows in brightness when we’re in the presence of fellow lightworkers.
Do not give up hope. Do not live in fear. Know there is value in empathy and power in unity. Be courageous in your endeavors to spread joy. Know that it’s okay to be seen and heard. You are not alone, and you don’t have to live in the shadows. I’m here for you. And so are millions of others - brothers and sisters. Moms and dads. Friends and neighbors. Humans of all colors, backgrounds, and belief systems. We may not be able to hold hands because we are separated by distance. However, we can remain united in spirit as we recall a simple truth that some have forgotten. Love is all there is. Now is all we’ve got. And true happiness cannot be found until we ensure the safety, harmony, and well-being of everyone in our orbit.
Given the nature of my work, I’m in a unique position to give people a different perspective on life (and the afterlife). It makes me happy and gives joy to others as well. If you’ve been a part of this give-take relationship over the past seventeen years, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Regardless of your political affiliations or personal views, you’ve trusted me to give you accurate, validating, and faith-affirming messages. I’ve willingly done so, and my work speaks for itself. I’ll continue to share my intuitive gifts without bias, because everyone needs help, not just those who share my viewpoints.
If this article doesn’t resonate with you, it simply means that your vibration is not aligned with mine. And that’s okay. I’m not interested in arguing, nor will I be drawn into debates. There’s enough anger out there, and I must conserve my energy for peaceful endeavors.
If you like what you’ve read, please share this with someone who could use a morale boost. If this resonates with you, please let me know by email - AndyMyersManagement@gmail.com.
