I spend a good chunk of each day writing Soul Discoveries. With my fingers on the keyboard and my head in the spirit world, I communicate with the guardian angels of my clients. These spirit guides share valuable information with me. I then type it up and email it to my clients. They range from two pages to fifteen pages in length. At the time of writing, I can only hope and pray the information is well-received. Thankfully, my clients often respond with validating feedback. For me, the follow-up information is truly heartwarming.
What you’re about to read is a soul discovery I recently did for a client. She’s granted me permission to share this publicly. Her feedback and follow-up comments have been inserted into the writing at the appropriate part of the soul story. Here’s what I discovered for her…
I found myself inside a museum near the ticket counter. The whole place was empty until I saw a man walking toward me. He looked very serious and had the demeanor of a security guard, yet he wore a business suit. On his chest was a silver badge that displayed the name Hans. His appearance reminded me of a younger version of the famous actor Dolf Lundgren. If you’re unfamiliar with him, look him up because I want you to have a reference point for the appearance of the museum guard.
He shook my hand and placed a lanyard around my neck attached to a plastic badge. He said, “You’ve been granted level five clearance.” Follow me up to floor number fourteen.” I was like, “Ummm… okay.” I asked who he was, and he said he was “the keeper of artifacts.” I then asked if he was one of your spirit guides. He glanced at me like it was a silly question and simply replied, “Humans love labels and titles, don’t they?” Then, he gave the slightest hint of a smile, leading me to believe that he is, in fact, one of your guardian angels. He didn’t seem like the type for small talk, so I just walked with him silently. We made our way down a very long hallway toward some elevators.
I am also "the keeper of artifacts" in my family. My parents have made me the family historian and I save lots of memories over the years, including letters from my grandpa.
Looking around, I saw various display cases housing pictures, paintings, statues, documents, and maps. Every so often, I’d see a bronze statue of an animal. I got the impression this entire museum represented your soul, your life, and everything that’s important to you. It was a virtual treasure trove of artifacts – the Akashic Records of your soul. That being the case, I couldn’t help but ask Hans what the bronze animal statues represented. He implied they are various spirit animals of yours– creatures you’ve bonded with in past lifetimes.
I saw a seagull (or gull of some kind). The statue displayed a plaque that read, “1266: Denmark.” I saw a statue of a lion with a plaque that read, “1814: Tanzania.” There was a Saint Bernard whose sign displayed, “1642: Germany.” A parrot statue had a sign that said, 1174: Oman.” And I recall seeing an owl with a plaque that said, “1418: England.”
The owl you saw is our family bird on my dad's side, and the lion represents how strong, confident, and self-assured I became in 2020.
We finally arrived at the elevator, and Hans pushed the button for floor fourteen. When the doors opened, we stepped into a vast gallery of paintings. Overhead were massive letters that spelled out, “Gallery of Adventures: Stepping Into the Past.” Hans said I could look around at these past life paintings, but he had business to attend to. He shook my hand and quickly walked away. Glancing over my shoulder, I saw him reach for a Walkie-Talkie attached to his belt. He said into the device, “Have Sylvio come up here in a few moments. I’m heading down to open the seventh floor.”
I started walking around, looking at all the paintings. Each one represented a past lifetime of yours. Much like the animal statues on the lower level, each painting came with a plaque that stated where and when the lifetime took place. I was interested in finding the ones that correlated with the animal statues I saw earlier. I found the one from 1266 Denmark. It displayed a massive Viking ship cruising through choppy waters with low mountains in the background and seagulls flying overhead. A button near the painting said, “Press to play.” I pushed it, figuring there was an audio recording that would say a few words about the lifetime. But I did not expect what happened next.
The oil painting suddenly came to life as though it was a video. It played some highlights from that lifetime on a loop. I could not hear any sound, but I could gain a lot of perspective from the images that were playing. You were a Viking sailor who was very funny and loved to laugh. You were great with your hands and loved to work with wood and forge metals. Despite being rough around the edges and having an addictive personality, you were a dedicated family man when you were not at sea. You were fiercely loyal to those you loved. You enjoyed practical jokes and making people laugh. You had chronic back problems that sometimes flared up, and you struggled with depression, but many people had no idea because you were often so funny. You loved to drink, smoke, and swap stories with your friends. Your hand-eye coordination was second to none. You could throw knives and axes better than anyone in your village. You loved seagulls because they always appeared when your ship was nearing dry land, indicating that your voyage was nearly over… which meant you could be reunited with your family again.
The beach is my happy place, and the ocean heals my soul. I love old sailing vessels and have read about Vikings, imagining that lifestyle since I was young.
I walked over to the 1814 lifetime in Tanzania. It depicted you (again as a man) sitting alone in the dark under a tree with a large spear. You had black skin and a terrified look on your face. I pushed the button to see the highlights from that life. I’ll spare you some details, but it was a tough lifetime. A few lions had attacked some people in your village. You were put in charge of killing the man-eaters, but you had conflicting feelings about it because you actually loved lions and found them majestic. You succeeded in defending your village but might not have without the help of an American big game hunter who helped you hunt with his gun. Aside from that chapter of the life, it was a happy one. You had five children, loved cooking food for villagers, and enjoyed fishing more than anything else.
The lifetime with the Saint Bernard in 1642 Germany was a fun one. It showed images of you being a brewmaster who owned a tavern. You spent your time working there but lived there too – in an upper loft above the bar.
Currently, I live in a Victorian apartment above a business and have a bar across the street from me.
I saw images of the place packed full of people each night. You came from a very dysfunctional and abusive family, so you cut ties with them near your 20th birthday. The friends who frequented your tavern were those you considered “family.” Inside the bar were torches lining the walls for light. There was an elevated back deck/patio. Down below, wildlife would eat scraps of food you and your customers would throw out there. Inside the tavern roamed your pet – a massive Saint Bernard named Julius. He was everyone’s favorite. People would pet him and give him treats all night long. It was a sad day when he finally passed away. A loyal customer of yours created a wood carving of Julius, which hung above the tavern door for the remaining years that place was open.
In 1174 Oman, you had a pet parrot who hung out inside a massive cage that you kept inside your shop. Your shop was filled with rugs, antiques, spices, tobacco, etc. Again, you were a man (there is a trend with this, apparently.) It was a relatively uneventful life, but you were happy running your shop. You loved your routine, were a lifelong bachelor, and were hopelessly curious about studying history. You loved collecting antiques, old maps, and anything that had an interesting story attached to it.
I have always had an interest in old-world maps.
Lastly, in 1418 England, you were a woman who was an accomplished painter. This would have been during the Renaissance. You were in a terrible marriage, and to cope with the emotional turmoil, you’d lose track of time painting late into the night. When you did, an owl would often appear in a tree in your backyard. You found its “hooting” to be very soothing and a good omen. You initially lacked confidence in yourself and your paintings. With time, you became less self-critical and mustered up the courage to sell them at farmer’s markets and festivals.
Currently, I am an artist as well. I learned to paint by reproducing many of the portraits by famous artists during the Renaissance period. I was married young and in a relationship that was somewhat controlling and lonely, so I painted after my kids went to bed. It is my calm and my escape when life gets too tough.
You loved animals back in the 1400s England, and you rescued many stray cats and dogs in that lifetime. Your name was Adrian, and you had long, curly, red hair. You suffered from anxiety and panic attacks, but with time, you got those under control. As Adrian, you were very gifted intuitively, often having premonitions and visionary dreams and seeing ghosts/spirits. You kept that to yourself for the most part and only told your grandma since she was so open-minded.
As I looked at this painting/video from your life in England, a voice behind me said, “She grew tremendously in that lifetime, you know? It’s not easy to feel trapped by a controlling husband. But when she painted… she was free.”
I turned around and was greeted by a smiling man. His demeanor was warm and friendly. His attire was business casual, and his name tag read, “Sylvio.” I shook his hand. His appearance reminded me of the actor Mark Ruffalo. Look him up so you know what your spirit guide, Sylvio, looks like. He asked me to follow him to a nearby bench to chat.
I asked if he could share information that you would find helpful. He looked at his watch and chuckled, saying, “How much time do you have?” I noticed his watch did not display an ordinary clock but a glowing green infinity symbol. He saw me looking at it and offered an explanation. He said time is a silly man-made invention, but it DOES serve a purpose because it keeps us moving through life in an orderly fashion. He said that the infinity sign glows green when you’re doing well and require little to no help.
When you’re having an off-day or struggling emotionally, the infinity sign turns yellow – meaning he’s on stand-by should you need extra energy, support, or mental clarity to handle your challenges. The watch rarely glows red. When it does, it means you’re experiencing a significant loss, a major life transition, etc. He said 2021 was a struggle for you. His watch was red for much of that year, and it was a happy day when it turned to yellow… and eventually back to green.
My son, Joshua passed away unexpectedly in 2021 at the age of 35 yrs, and I have had to learn to carry that unbearable pain with me every day since. I have had to reinvent myself a few times.
I asked which coming years would be “green” years for you. He laughed and said that’s like asking how an airplane works. “It’s complicated,” he said. “There are so many moving parts.” Then he looked at his watch again and took a breath before saying that, all things remaining equal, the years 2025, 2027, 2029, 2033, 2034, and 2036 should be pretty green. However, he emphasized it does NOT mean the other years will be yellow or red. It’s just that the other years may include changes and transitions. As we know, humans generally do not embrace change very easily. Even when a positive change is on the horizon, we’re always hesitant at first because new = scary. With time, most transitions benefit us in the long run and serve a greater good. Sylvio referred to change as “opportunities to evolve.”
I looked around the massive room of paintings. There were so many lifetimes I couldn’t possibly count them all. I asked what other things you’ve experienced in past lifetimes. He said you’ve performed nearly every role imaginable. You’ve been a teacher in several lifetimes. You were a professional dancer a few times, and once, you were even a dance instructor.
I laughed when you said I had been a professional dancer and even an instructor because I always say "In my next life I am coming back as a dancer." But in this life I have two left feet!
You’ve had several military past lifetimes, specializing in search and rescue operations and saving fellow soldiers more often than fighting the enemy. You were a nurse a few times and worked in healthcare during several incarnations.
The medical and military are prominent fields through many generations in our family.
In another lifetime, you were even a cave explorer, but you got stuck, and nobody found you. So, if you’re claustrophobic, that would be why. And if you ever visit a cave, make sure it’s large and doesn’t require squeezing through tight quarters.
I asked Sylvio if there was more information he could share related to your life in the present. He said you have a very deep gas tank regarding emotions. You feel things on a greater level than people might think. At times, you keep it all suppressed below the surface, so others don’t always know when you’re struggling (much like your lifetime as the funny Viking who suffered from depression.) Sylvio said you are incredibly self-sufficient and rarely ask for help. You are stubborn (please take no offense).
The present life description is so true. I am admittedly stubborn. I am a Taurus after all!
You are independent. You crave connection with others who are open-minded like yourself. Most of all, you crave deep and meaningful conversations. Small talk and superficial matters bore you. You want to know what makes people tick. And you’re a magnet for people going through a tough time. He said others (even strangers) will often open up to you and share their struggles. You create a safe space for them – a nonjudgemental bubble where they can be themselves and be heard. Whether you admit it or not, you’re an unofficial counselor for many people who trust you.
Sylvio said you’re intuitive now, much like you were back in England as the painter. As you begin to accept this part of yourself, your intuition will grow and evolve. You are not required or expected to do anything in particular with this ability. Simply use it how you wish and allow your gut instincts to help you navigate life. Your nightly dreams will become more and more vivid with time. They’ll be colorful and whimsical, and you’ll remember them more often as the years go by. When this happens, you may get glimpses of other past lifetimes or rendezvous with other spirit guides.
I asked Sylvio if there were other guides. He said, “It takes a village.” I wondered how many spirit guides you have, and he said five. But they’re not always present simultaneously and are certainly not needed for every moment of your life. He laughed and asked what I thought of Hans. I chuckled and said he didn’t have a great sense of humor. He agreed but said we should go easy on Hans because he has the most challenging job of all your spirit guides. I asked why. Sylvio said it’s because Hans is not only the “museum curator” of your soul but also oversees your life chart when it comes to big-picture things. I asked for more information.
Sylvio said that Hans ensures you stay within the perimeters of your destiny. There is plenty of wiggle room for you to make free-will decisions. But if a significant event has the potential to derail your path (like a car accident you’re not meant to experience)… it’s Hans’ job to prevent the incident from happening. “It’s a lot of responsibility,” said Sylvio.
I feel the need to apologize to Hans, my spirit guide,as I do keep him on his toes!
I asked if there have been some close calls regarding your safety in the past. He said yes, a few times throughout your younger years, some incidents would have been catastrophic. Some of them are locked in your memory, and others you were never aware of in the first place. Naturally, I asked if you were in the clear safety-wise in the coming years. He assured me that Hans takes his job very seriously and you’re in no danger whatsoever, so rest easy at night. He did, however, stress that you should never drink and drive or ride with someone who's been drinking. This is common sense, but please take it to heart, considering this message is coming from your spirit guide.
Sylvio then stood to his feet and said we needed to make our way down to floor number seven because it should be ready by now. I asked what was down there. He smiled and said, “You’ll see.” I followed him to the elevator, and we went down. Once on the seventh floor, he handed me off to another individual – another spirit guide of yours. It was a woman dressed like a cross between a hippie and a motorcycle mama. (haha.) She wore a tie-dye shirt, a bandana, ripped blue jeans, and cowboy boots. Rather than a handshake, she brought me in for a hug. She introduced herself as Mary and said her friends call her Scary Mary. I laughed and said, “You don’t look very scary to me.”
“No,” she said, “it’s not because I’m a jerk or anything. It’s just because I’m a bit of a daredevil.” I nodded and smiled. She continued, “Every time I live another life, I scare the hell out of my spirit guides by taking too many risks. But coming close to death makes me feel alive. Kinda ironic, isn’t it?” She bellowed out a raspy laugh, and she was impossible not to like. Her appearance reminded me of a younger Susan Sarandon.
We entered a massive room on the seventh floor that contained a moving sculpture or art exhibit. It was a pendulum of silver balls that crashed into one another. It’s hard to explain, so I’ll just insert a picture of what I’m talking about.
It was roughly twenty feet in size. There were seven balls, each inscribed with a word or short phrase. One outer ball was labeled GIVE. The outer ball on the other side said TAKE. The other five balls displayed: FAITH, CREATE, PERSEVERANCE, ENDURANCE, and TOGETHERNESS.
I asked Mary what these were, and she said each ball represented a life purpose or soul lesson you’re working on. She said the fact that they all crash into one another represents the overlap you’ll see between them. For example, if you’re doing a creative project, you’ll feel relaxed and meditative… which spills over into the category of faith. If you’re putting a lot of effort into planning a big party for all of your friends, this includes the life lessons of togetherness and endurance. I asked about the GIVE and TAKE. She said GIVE obviously has to do with you giving time, energy, and affection to people and causes that you care about. TAKE has to do with letting others help you and accepting the love that others offer. She said that because you’re so independent, you don’t easily accept things from others (help, compliments, donations, etc.) She said, “But life is about karma and balance… the yin and the yang. Donna knows what I’m talking about.” She waved her hand away like she realized she was preaching to the choir.
Scary Mary sounds like my kind of people. What fun! The pendulum has all the words I live my life by and resonates so true. And I do not have an easy time asking for help. I am usually the one everyone else depends on.
I knew our time was limited, so I asked Mary if there was anything else she wanted you to know. She said, “That Donna is a keeper. She’s a good one. But tell her I miss being her sister.” I asked for more details, and she chuckled, “What? Sylvio didn’t show you that painting in the past life gallery? Yeah, we were sisters, alright…. Many moons ago. She was the older sis, and she beat the crap outta me.” Mary started cracking up. “But I deserved it, though, because I wrecked her tree house.”
Once she stopped laughing, she said it was ancient history and that she loves you like a sister even today. I’ll paraphrase here the rest of what she said because it’s too much to relay word-for-word.
Mary said you’re relatively uncomplicated and are a low-drama kind of girl. She says you get along really well with men because you’ve been a guy more often than a female in your past lifetimes. That being said, you greatly value the female relationships you presently have, and you’re always making an effort to nurture those friendships with quality time and special get-togethers.
She said you’re always down to have a good time, and you have a heart of gold. Your body should hold up okay moving forward, but you carry an awful lot of tension and knots in your upper back and shoulder blade area. You should make an effort to stay more hydrated. She says you’re funny as hell and find certain things humorous that others don’t laugh at.
Mary said that anytime you see a black cat, it’s a sign from her that you’re on track and that she’s proud of you. I was surprised by this and asked if black cats were unlucky. She said, “If she can handle lions in Africa, she can handle a little black cat for crying out loud.” We both started laughing. Mary said that when you see 777 or 77 regularly in your surroundings, life is about to give you an opportunity to work on one of your seven life purposes that were just discussed. Right then, it occurred to me that we were also on the 7th floor. Apparently, sevens carry great significance for you.
Mary insisted it was past visiting hours for the museum. She mentioned how she dislikes rules but she must follow them anyway. I thanked her for all the information. She said (and I quote), “Tell home girl I love her with all my heart and I miss her dearly.” I assured her that I would. With that, Mary made a heart sign with her hands and fingers. As she placed it over her chest, the scene faded to black like it was the end of a movie.
I would love to know what is on the other floors of the museum! This soul discovery was fascinating to me! I am so glad I keft it open-ended. Sorry for the length of all my feedback. I still have so much more to say. but will spare you! Thank you again for this. I will continue to tell my stories and you with my friends. You are part of many conversations ever since I first discovered you on the Pat and JT show. I appreciate you and all you do.
If you’re looking for a unique gift idea this holiday season, consider purchasing a Soul Discovery session for a friend or family member. I have gift cards available (both digital and physical.)
