Soul Starships, Heavenly Homes, and Mouse Mazes
Q and A with session with social media followers
Before we get to the fun stuff, I’m asking for some help. A long-time friend of my family, Kelley Kennedy, was recently in a terrible car accident with her mom and two daughters. Sadly, Kelley’s mom did not survive. Kelly is now left with various health complications and helping her girls work through unimaginable grief and trauma. I’ve been on paranormal investigations with Kelley and her family, but nothing is scarier than having life turned upside down. Thankfully, they’re doing as well as can be expected given the circumstances. Kelley has a great support system, but as you can imagine, the financial strain caused by this is overwhelming.

While nobody likes to say goodbye to a loved one, everyone is curious to know what Heaven is like. This is why I asked people on my Facebook page to submit questions related to the afterlife. In this blog post, I’ll address a few of those queries.
Joshua Kropenski asked a doozy that made me chuckle. He said, “Can you “own” more than one home in the afterlife? I want a home in every corner of the universe! And my own starship! (Not that I need a Starship, but hey, why not?).
Why not INDEED, Joshua? I can picture it now. You rounding up some dearly departed loved ones and cruising through distant star systems, high-fiving aliens, and dodging black holes. It would be legendary. As for “owning” a home in the afterlife, yes, it’s entirely possible, and you wouldn’t even have to worry about a mortgage. Heaven is quite literally a utopia that can be anything you wish it to be. The only limit is your own imagination. While some people’s idea of Heaven is living in a 10,000-square-foot mansion with three swimming pools and crystal chandeliers, other folks might opt for a nomadic existence where they own nothing but the soul in their chest and the smile upon their face. It’s all very individualized. Yet, I have a feeling that everyone’s idea of a perfect afterlife is one that’s devoid of mosquitos. Can I get an Amen?
Lisa Jester Hoogan asked, “When you go to Heaven, is there a holding space where you go first or do you cross straight over?”
Good question, Lisa. The notion of a holding space reminds me of something called purgatory that my Catholic church mentioned when I was a child. They made it sound awful… like the lost luggage counter of the spirit world, a DMV waiting line of sorts. Take a number and have a seat please. *Sigh*
Thankfully, I haven’t seen this to be the case. The vast majority of people cross straight into Heaven upon their death, avoiding any sort of limbo period where the soul might hover somewhere between “here” and “there”. Because of this, ghosts are actually pretty rare. Most occurrences we’d label “paranormal” are merely spirits from Heaven briefly stopping by to visit. Very few of them are Earthbound. When we cross into the afterlife, there’s an epic party - a reunion with all those we’ve loved and lost. It’s the most wondrous experience imaginable, which is why most people can’t help but go toward the light when their time is up.
Lori Lang asked an interesting question nobody has ever asked me. “If you are sensitive or intuitive to spirits and such, will you take that with you into the afterlife? If so, are you then able to contact others that are still alive? If you are not sensitive while alive, do you pick up that ability in the afterlife? Thanks, Andy”
Here on Earth, having heightened intuition certainly has its perks. It allows a person to have a unique connection with the spirit world. I’ve been fortunate to have witnessed miracles, synchronicity, and heartwarming events that defy explanation. But the afterlife offers a level playing field, Lori. Once there, we all vibrate at such a high frequency that we become ultra-intuitive. These super psychic senses allow us to make contact with the living (in moderation and under the right circumstances.) So regardless of how intuitive you feel right now, once in Heaven, you’ll see everything in a whole new light. Plus, you’ll be able to access your soul chart, which will help you make sense of everything you experienced in this lifetime. Even more astonishing is that you’ll have access to ALL your previous lifetimes - a treasure trove of adventures you’ve had all throughout history.
If you can’t wait until then to access your past lifetimes, perhaps you’ll consider scheduling a past life psychic reading or a Soul Discovery session. Both will explain in great detail who you were in numerous incarnations and how those lives still influence you today. I’m scheduling into April of next year with Soul Discovery sessions, but the wait is not as long for past life psychic readings. See the website for more information. Alecia Michelle asked, “Do those who have passed see everything we do here on earth?”
Goodness, no! And I’m grateful for that. Yesterday, I nearly tripped over my cat while spilling coffee on myself… all while humming the theme song from Hocus Pocus. I hope my dad wasn’t watching me from Heaven. Then again, if he was, I’m sure it gave him a good chuckle. We humans are like free reality television for those in the spirit world. Thankfully, they stay pretty busy over there and aren’t bored enough to study our every movement. Plus, they’re typically pretty good when it comes to boundaries - giving us space during moments when privacy is needed.

Cindy Masur asked, “When our loved ones see us going through major trauma...do they get sad?”
They certainly empathize with us and can relate to our struggles because they’ve obviously been in the human condition before. Yet, they have a unique advantage when viewing our sadness from their vantage point in Heaven. They understand why we face these challenges and how the events correlate to our fate, destiny, and life chart. They know we are strong enough to handle the uncertainty. And they know that, ultimately, we’ll bounce back even stronger than before once the dust settles. Here on Earth, we’re bogged down by the heavy vibration of this world, and it prevents us from seeing these truths.
When we’re at a low point, our loved ones in Heaven have the foresight to know everything will work itself out. This prevents them from wallowing or becoming depressed while seeing us struggle. Similarly, if we saw a mouse inside a maze frantically trying to find the cheese, we might feel slightly bad for the mouse. We’d be rooting for the mouse, but it wouldn’t bring us to tears because we’d know it would eventually find what it was looking for. I suppose our human existence is a maze unto itself. And perhaps the “cheese” we’re searching for is happiness and peace of mind. Our loved ones in the afterlife know that we’ll find it… if not now, then soon enough.
