If you’re new here, yes, I’m a psychic. It’s how I’ve made a living for the past fifteen years. And no, I don’t have a crystal ball. I do have a “magic” eight-ball, though. Technically, it’s my daughter’s since I bought it for her. She promised she’d pay me back the five dollars once we got home from the store, but she forgot. I shook the ball and asked, “Will she ever cough up the five dollars she owes me?” Not surprisingly, the magic ball said no.
So, it got that one right. But you know how these magic eight-balls work. They only spit out a handful of answers - yes, no, maybe, and one that says ask again later. I suppose it was the ancient precursor to modern-day artificial intelligence. It can trick us into thinking it’s all-powerful… but soon enough, you realize it’s just a simple machine that mimics a human response.
So, in the spirit of jazzing things up a bit, I asked followers on my Facebook page to submit complex questions related to my work as a psychic. The stranger, the better. In return, I promised to select a few of them, providing thorough answers you wouldn’t get from a gimmicky toy.
I love it when someone can stump me by asking a question I cannot answer. This happens from time to time, and I gladly accept it. Sometimes, our ego needs a swift kick in the crotch. Nobody knows everything, not even an intuitive. That being said, I’ll gladly answer questions if they are thought-provoking and I have expertise on the subject.
One intriguing question was submitted by Charlene, who said, “I've always felt I didn't belong with this generation. I sometimes wonder if I've come too early or too late… or just carrying my last past life with me into this one?”
Similarly, David asked, “Can a person return to this Earth too early or too late? I have often felt I came back about 30 years too soon. Resulting in a ‘bored, been there, done that’ feeling.”
To answer these, I’ll say that timing is important - especially regarding reincarnation. In terms of a person’s destiny, being born too early or too late does slightly change a person’s trajectory. Similarly, when a child tries to hop on a spinning merry-go-round, jumping too soon or too late might lead to falling off before getting a grip.
Once a soul has selected its desired family, it is at the mercy of when the parents conceive a baby. If this happens sooner than expected (or later than anticipated), the soul might choose to be born anyway, figuring it’s better to have their desired family, friends, career, location, etcetera… even if the birth year is different than planned. This goes to show that our destinies are pretty flexible.
Sure, David feels like an out-of-place time traveler half the time. But, on the plus side, he can still remember what the world was like before the internet. I have nothing against technology, but “the good old days” were nostalgic and fabulous in their own right. As for that ‘been there, done that’ boredom he mentioned… that would indicate a person who has lived many past lifetimes. David, if you’re reading this, you’re an old soul, buddy. It’s a past-life thing. You have been here many times before, but you’ve never viewed life through this exact lens because you’ve never been you at this place and time in history. If you, dear reader, feel you’re an old soul, please know that travel is a great way to inject some zest into your life. A change of scenery is essential for old souls to shake off the monotony of life.
For those interested in learning more about past lives and reincarnation, read my book, Old Soul, Young Spirit.
Joann submitted another question I pulled from the hat. She asked, “Multiple personalities. Do you think this could be several people reincarnated into one person?”
Great question, Joann. If that were the case, it would be pretty tight quarters inside the person’s body - like the soul equivalent of twenty people crammed inside a clown car. I can only imagine one soul’s ass pressed up against another soul’s face, and so on. Doesn’t sound very appealing.
On a serious note, Joann, I think what could be happening in cases of Multiple Personality Disorder (which is also called Dissociative Identity Disorder) is that a person could be confused as to what lifetime they’re actually living. If something in the person’s brain chemistry goes awry, multiple versions of themselves could come forth randomly. This is possible because, although our brains can’t remember our past lifetimes, the soul never forgets. Dissociative Identity Disorder is incredibly rare, but it’s fascinating in its own right. The poor individuals afflicted by this condition must feel like a Hollywood actor who was given a dozen scripts rather than one. They’re confused as to which movie they’re starring in. I must pause here and state this is merely my opinion. I’m obviously not a mental health specialist or a neuroscientist.
Last but not least, Judy submitted a question: “Is it normal to marry the same spouse several times in past lifetimes?”
It’s something I’ve been asked countless times. The answer really depends on the following factors…
If you and your spouse have unfinished business from a past lifetime, then it might benefit both parties to marry again in the future.
If a lifetime was cut short due to an unexpected death, then the couple might marry again in a future life to make up for lost time.
On the other hand, if either person desires to incarnate without their previous spouse, the couple can “take a break” for a lifetime or two and reconvene at some point in the future. Taking some time apart would prevent a married couple from smothering each other. I call this cosmic codependency and will address it more in a future book.
Yes, Judy. It’s entirely possible and normal to marry the same spouse in multiple lifetimes. But it would be inaccurate to say we marry the same person every lifetime. And it’s worth noting that there is no jealousy involved. Jealousy has no place when it comes to reincarnation. We have married countless partners throughout the millennia as we slip out of one lifetime and into the next. Yet, we have a knack for gravitating back to that one person who best resonates with our soul. When two people are utterly in harmony, they make beautiful music together. This sound echoes through space and time in a symphony so beautiful even the angels weep when hearing it.
Here, I’d like to do two things. First, I want to offer my paid subscribers a heartfelt THANK YOU. Writing is my passion, and having your support truly means the world to me.
Secondly, I wanted to clarify what people can expect if they become a paid subscriber to this newsletter/blog. Some weeks, you’ll receive an extended article that is more in-depth and expands on something I wrote for the general public. In other weeks, you’ll receive an entire, stand-alone article accessible only to paid subscribers. When I find the time, you might receive more than one article in a given week (woo hoo!)
Rather than sticking to a rigid schedule of posting my writing on set days, I’d rather keep it loosey-goosey. That way, when you see a new article, it’s like a happy little surprise you weren’t expecting.
As a paid subscriber, you’ll also be offered an occasional discount on my services and sneak peeks into my upcoming books. In other words, you’ll duck behind the curtain to see how the sausage is made.
Feel free to contact me anytime you have a question or feedback. I’ll personally respond to you via email - AndyMyersManagement@gmail.com
Thanks for your support. Happy Wednesday.
Super-interesting Q&A, and I enjoyed the tidbit about travel!
