If you’re like me, you might listen to podcasts while you’re cooking, doing laundry, or going for a walk. We humans are experts at multitasking, aren’t we? My interests are eclectic, and this is certainly true for my taste in podcasts. I love learning new concepts, gaining perspective from history, feeling the goosebumps of a spooky tale, or getting inspired by a thought-provoking story. Some of these you may have heard of, while others might be new to you. In no particular order, here are some of my suggestions for wonderful podcasts you might enjoy. (You can find them wherever you get your podcasts.)
I’m a paid subscriber to this show and have been listening for nearly a decade. Most of the episodes are free to the public. It’s top-notch production quality and has won awards as the best paranormal podcast out there. It’s a call-in show where ordinary people tell extraordinary stories of encounters with ghosts, angels, glitches in the matrix, UFOs, haunted locations, messages from Heaven, and strange creature sightings. There’s something for everyone! The show is hosted by Derek Hayes, who has been featured on a number of paranormal TV shows. Although it’s hard to pick a “favorite” podcast, this one certainly ranks toward the top of the list in my opinion. Check it out!
Be warned - this show will knock your socks clear off! Goosebumps guaranteed! The host investigates claims that nonverbal autistic individuals can read minds. Although she goes into the project as a healthy skeptic, Ky Dickens and her whole production crew are shocked at what they discover. The autistic children are incredibly psychic, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Evidence unravels to prove they communicate with the deceased, speak languages they’ve never been taught, and telepathically talk with other nonverbal kids halfway around the world in a secret spiritual club known as The Hill. This is perhaps the most groundbreaking podcast or documentary of our generation. Ready or not… science meets spirituality in ways that will reshape our understanding of the human brain. Give it a listen!
These episodes are only ten or fifteen minutes each, which is perfect if you don’t have a long attention span. Each episode covers a lesser-known historical figure who impacted the world with courage, innovation, and their ability to overcome challenges. It’s top-notch storytelling that pulls you into the moment and brings history to life in a way I’ve never experienced before. I cannot recommend this one enough. It has heart, soul, and a fantastic host named Nate DiMeo.

Tinfoil hat stories combine with the paranormal on this podcast that’s surprisingly humorous. The two Aussie hosts cover off-the-wall stories related to psychic espionage, UFO abductees, conspiracy theories, secret societies, and occult military programs. Each episode is a lengthy deep dive with an abundance of facts, twists, and turns. Some of the stories are a little outlandish, but the hosts do a good job of debunking false information and getting to the bottom of each case. It’s a great podcast for long walks or road trips.
This show covers topics like spirituality, manifesting, positive thinking, and living your best life. It includes guest appearances by world-renowned leaders in philosophy and personal growth. Every other episode is a mini-show that’s five or ten minutes of uplifting food-for-thought. The others are longer and more in-depth. It’s the perfect pick-me-up for those who need a morale booster.
Maybe it’s fitting that I love American History Tellers since I’m passionate about past lives and reincarnation. After all, diving into past lives is essentially a lesson in history. This podcast makes you feel as though you’re living through important parts of our nation’s past. It’s fantastic production quality and overflowing with lesser-known pivotal moments that shaped the United States.
I love, love, LOVE this podcast (and the YouTube version, which includes visuals). It’s hilarious and covers a wide variety of topics such as aliens, haunted history, conspiracy theories, cryptid creatures, time travel, and so much more. The show is hilarious and contains a talking goldfish, which sounds ridiculous, but you just have to check it out to know how amazing the show is. It’s meticulously researched and does a great job of getting to the bottom of legend and lore.
So Strange was a podcast that I hosted for a year, and while I’m no longer producing episodes, there are plenty of wonderful shows on hand to keep you entertained for hours on end. Paranormal Dads is a podcast I co-host with my good friends Eddie Fossler and Pat Pleiss. We fuse dad jokes with tales of monsters, myths, and mysteries. Paranormal Dads has been downloaded over 100,000 times, and we have a great time recording episodes when we find time in our schedules.
Happy listening! Let me know which podcast is your favorite.
