Multiple Dimensions and Traveling Spirits
Weird and mind-bending answers to puzzling questions
It’s that time again. Time for me to answer some questions posted by folks on social media. I love fielding intriguing questions (the stranger, the better). Here are some that I’ve rounded up for today’s blog article.
If it’s true that our children pick us, do our pets also pick us? - Lori Manbeck
Yes, Lori. It’s divinely no accident that certain animals come into our lives at particular points in time. Often, this is orchestrated by our spirit guides, our loved ones in the afterlife, or even the other pets we’ve lost. Although we rarely notice it in the moment, we’re nudged and guided to a particular animal that is best suited for our human journey. If you’re a soul who came here to experience patience, you may have adopted a pet who tests your patience daily. If you incarnated to be a therapist because it’s your soul’s calling, then a therapy dog may have found its way into your life. It only makes sense, and it’s very serendipitous. It’s very serendipitous. Every pet owner would agree that our fur babies are merely four-pawed angels.
How do spirits travel? Like, someone passes away, and then they’re seen hundreds of miles from where they passed. How does it work? - Mark Weisgerber
Great question! I can tell you one thing. They’re sure as hell not taking the subway or an Uber. Thankfully, the soul can travel anywhere instantaneously. A soul can visit a loved one in Nebraska, then instantly teleport to Mongolia. Why would they teleport to Mongolia? I have no idea. Maybe to see a yak or a camel. My point is that spirits don’t have the inconvenience of traveling like humans. As for earthbound entities (ghosts) who are stuck between worlds, they, too, can travel to new locations instantly. However, their energy is a little wonky because they’ve decided to hover in the dense vibration of this Earthly plane. Hence, they might randomly phase in and out of existence, making their location an anomaly… kind of like a GPS system that’s gone haywire. Simply put, ghosts and spirits do not operate within the same laws of physics that we do. They can come and go as they please… which should be all the motivation you need to set healthy boundaries with the spirit world. Tell them that visiting hours end when you fall asleep, and if they plan to hang around, they should at least pay you rent.
What’s going on at Antarctica? There’s a lot there, and it’s all so secretive. - Carla Waters Erickson
It’s a strange place, Carla. On my Paranormal Dads podcast, we’ve discussed a bizarre story involving Admiral Richard E. Byrd, who claimed to fly his plane into an underground world through a hidden tunnel in Antarctica. It’s a mind-bender of a story, and although some claim it’s hogwash, others find no reason to doubt a decorated, no-nonsense military figure who seemed very serious about what he saw. If you feel compelled, you can look up that encounter. There are also reports of a massive black pyramid allegedly discovered beneath the Antarctic ice. It’s nearly impossible to get to Antarctica unless you have government connections or are part of a scientific research team. Personally, I think it would be the perfect location to stash an alien spacecraft where nobody could see it. But I haven’t personally been there, nor have I tried to psychically tune in for more intel. So, for now, it remains a mysterious place.
When we go to a loved one’s grave, are they standing there by us? - Sherry Friman
Yes, they most likely are, Sherry. But please keep in mind that visiting the grave of a loved one is more for our benefit than it is for theirs. It’s part of our grief process. It’s our attempt at making the connection feel more real and tangible. The bottom line is that our loved ones don’t typically hang out at cemeteries. They can be anywhere they wish. So, they drop by to visit during family parties, holidays, anniversaries, and sometimes, for no reason at all. But if leaving them some flowers is part of your healing ritual, then visit their headstone as often as you wish. While there, your loved ones will certainly make an appearance, and it goes without saying they’ll appreciate the gesture. And yet, I can almost hear Dear Aunt Gretta, ever the pragmatist, claiming that you should give the flowers to someone who is living… because they could take them home and place them in a vase rather than wilting at a grave site. There’s a spirit like this in every family, am I right?
How do we explain the past and its effects on the future when multiple lifetimes are being lived simultaneously, including past lives? Are there multiple dimensions? Are we split between different lives? This hurts my brain. - Alex Currie
You’re not alone, Alex. It’s theorized that the past, present, and future are all happening simultaneously. It’s a notion that leaves many of us cross-eyed, because we can’t even keep this ONE present lifetime straight. When we factor in other dimensions, timelines, and multiple realities, it feels disorienting. Rest assured, your soul knows the ultimate truth and can keep it all in focus regardless of whether or not your human brain can comprehend what’s going on. As you know, Alex, I’m passionate about past lives. So, I’ll never stop singing the benefits of uncovering past life information. And I also tend to daydream quite a lot about the future. But it’s also advisable for us to live in the present moment sometimes, because it allows us to fully enjoy this current journey we’re on.
As far as multiple lifetimes unfolding simultaneously, this comes up quite a bit in the book I’m currently writing about my past life in 1920s New York City. I can’t give any more details right now, but if you’re fascinated by these topics, it will be right up your alley. I don’t have a firm release date yet for the book, but I’m working hard to complete it and will share teasers and updates when I can. The book’s ending might just expand your understanding of space, time, reincarnation, and the true scope of human connection. It’s not just a book about my life, it’s a book about all of us… the beautiful struggles and eventual triumphs we experience from one glorious lifetime to another. Ultimately, it might redefine your idea of reality itself. More details coming soon!

How do you turn off your psychic abilities when you’re off work - like when you’re at the store or the movies? For your sake, I hope that’s possible. - Kim Clary
Hi, Kim! I do my best to turn off my psychic senses when I’m not intentionally using them. Most of the time, this works. It’s just a mental switch I turn off before I go out in public - a process where I turn down the volume a little so I don’t feel or sense too much. Every now and again, some information slips through, and I’ll get little downloads about people I pass in public. But thankfully, this doesn’t happen often, and I’m grateful for that. Like anyone else, I like to be “off the clock” when I’m living my life outside of work.
I think I may have healing abilities. How can I test this and find out for sure? -Heidi Noel
Everyone is intuitive to some degree, and healing abilities fall under that umbrella. The only true way to know, Heidi, is by trial and error. Use a friend or family member as a guinea pig and see if they feel an emotional or physical improvement after you transfer some positive, healing energy to them. If you wish to take it to the next level, you could always get certified in the healing art of Reiki. But please keep in mind, it’s optional as to whether or not you use the healing ability. There are plenty of athletic people in the world who don’t play sports, and there are many creative people who don’t paint or draw. Having an ability and using an ability are two different things. But if your soul compels you to pursue the healing arts, perhaps it’s worth trying.
Are you able to do past life readings on children, or is that frowned upon? - Sheila Burdock
It’s not frowned upon, Sheila. I’ve had countless parents bring their kids to psychic appointments with me. Of course, if they’re under 18, I insist the parent remain present during the reading. It’s so much fun to explore past lifetimes with children. It really explains a lot in terms of their interests, talents, and obsessions… whether it’s a love for trains, a bygone era of history, or a certain location they’ve never been to (but are fascinated by). Most of the time, I offer past-life information about my client’s child, even when the child is not present. Essentially, I can read information about the kids through the parents, if that makes sense.
How are you, really? - Diana Stoudt
This one made me laugh for some reason. I’m good… seriously! Haha. I’m loving life and all the people in my orbit. There’s plenty to look forward to, and much to be grateful for. I will admit, though, the vibes in the air were a little funky on Monday, and it left me in a strange mood. As a side effect, it took me four hours to write a 10-page Soul Discovery for a client. I simply wasn’t able to focus that well. The next day (Tuesday) was much better, which allowed me to focus on my work more effortlessly… and I was able to write 18 pages worth of Soul Discoveries in three hours (which was nearly a personal best).
I think this is true for most people. From day to day, we’re affected by the vibes in the atmosphere. Sometimes, only a tad. And other times, it’s much more obvious. There are many reasons for this. The main culprit is the collective consciousness or energy field all around us. What I’m talking about is circles within circles. On any given day, our city, state, country, and world all vibrate at slightly different frequencies. Due to factors like natural disasters, acts of kindness, national tragedies, anxiety about upcoming elections, or excitement surrounding other events, the mood shifts a little bit. Those of us with psychic antenna can absorb these vibrations, and they can affect our moods on various levels. Currently, it’s all good in the hood. But if you felt a little “meh” earlier this week, that might be why. There’s much to be happy about… including the fact that I can connect with you all through this blog.
