Everything would have been lost! Her cash. Her credit cards. Her driver’s license. Even her passport. Her bucket-list vacation was the very next day, and all would have been ruined… if it weren’t for my mom’s guardian angel.
The year was 2007. My mom had spent years planning our family's dream vacation on an Alaskan cruise. We were set to leave the very next day. She rushed to the store for some last-minute travel items. In her haste, she drove away from the parking lot without realizing she’d left a very important item behind.
After a few blocks, an invisible presence inside her vehicle urgently said, “Where’s your purse?!” The voice was audible and external rather than inside her own head. It startled her, but not as much as realizing her purse was missing. She sped back to the parking lot only to discover she’d left it on top of her shopping cart inside the cart bay.
We’ll never know what would have happened to her purse (or the vacation) had a spirit guide not intervened that day. Sometimes, spirits let us figure things out the hard way. In other cases, they intervene to help us avoid catastrophe. Let this story remind us all that we’re surrounded by spirits and angelic beings who have our best interests in mind. Listen to your intuition, especially helpful voices coming from inside your vehicle. Ultimately, the Alaska cruise was everything we hoped it would be. I never found Bigfoot in the Alaskan wilderness like I had planned. But as we boarded the cruise ship, I did see happy tears in my mom’s eyes… and that was even better.
I’d like to wish all the moms out there a very happy Mother’s Day weekend. Whether you are a dog mom, stepmom, grandma, or mom to a classroom full of kids… you deserve credit for playing the most important role in all of humanity. You’re the life bringers. The advice-givers. The boo-boo kisses. The selfless maternal glue that holds everyone together.
Someone very special to me has a t-shirt that says Mothers are Magic. Truer words have never been written. And it puts an exclamation mark on the point I’m trying to make.
If you’re looking for a unique gift for Mother’s Day, consider gifting her a ticket to my upcoming event, Soul Spark: Reigniting Happiness in Your Life. It takes place on June 14th in Omaha. Use the promo code SPARK at checkout to save a few bucks. That way, you can also get some flowers for your mom.
If you’d rather gift your mom a Soul Discovery session, I have various tiers of that service available as well. Digital gift cards can be emailed to you anytime between now and Sunday.
That’s all for now. Big shoutout to my mom, Sue, for bringing me into this crazy world. She’s been a constant support in every imaginable way. Love you, Mom!

2 years ago I was grocery shopping when a man came up beside me and asked me a question about peanutbutter. Startled because he was so close to me, I turned to face him and answered his questions. He put some peanutbutter in his cart and walked away then. Some voice I heard said "that was not right, check your purse", which I had sitting in the top of the grocery cart. I looked down and there was my purse seemingly OK. The voice said "open your purse", so I did and my wallet was missing. I took off running toward the front of the store and saw the man casually walking out the door. I yelled as loud as I could and he took off running with 2 others. The store manager called the police. We were in the store office waiting for the police to come when I got a FaceBook messenger alert from a name I did not know. I thought it was odd. The voice said "open the message" and it was someone asking if I had lost a wallet. They had found it on the street when they were stopped at a traffic light and the cards inside had my name listed, so they looked to see if they could find me online somewhere. I told the police officer about it when he arrived. He said message them back so I did. The police got their number and called, went to their home and came back with my wallet. It was completely intact, nothing missing. There was no cash in it, just credit and debit cards. The thieves threw the wallet out the car window about a mile away from the store. I kept my cash in a seperate part of my purse. The cards were never used by them. The security tape showed the one man distracted me with questions to make me turn away from my cart, while another got into my purse and took the wallet, while a 3rd was at the end of the aisle as a lookout. I only ever saw 1 of them. I was very fortunate to hear that voice and be able to act quickly. Oddly, the thieves did not exit the nearest door but walked all the way across to the other side to exit. That allowed me to be able to see them when I came out of the aisle heading toward the front of the store. Even the police officer thought it was odd they didn't use the nearest exit. I would not have been able to see them had they used the nearest exit. The little wallet was given to me by my sister as a Christmas gift. It has a picture of a cardinal on it. My mom loved cardinals and when I see or hear one I think of her. I'm not sure if it was her voice or a guardian angel helping me that day. The police officer told me this had happened to a few others in the area, but the women had no idea their walllets were gone until they got to the checkout and opened their purses. By that time, the thieves were long gone and had used their cards to rack up thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. I have no idea why they didn't try to use my credit or debit cards but instead just discarded them. Someone was definately watching out for me that day.
Thank you for sharing that..🥰
