Somebody once told me that wise people listen more than they speak. Or something like that. I can’t remember exactly what they said because I was probably too busy talking. But in the years since then, I’ve learned a thing or two. I’m grateful now to spend a good portion of every day listening to spirit guides (guardian angels.) They relay information during my Soul Discovery sessions, and I type it up for my clients. Yesterday, I wrote fourteen pages. The day before that, it was sixteen. It’s so much fun!
While the Soul Discovery sessions contain information specific to each individual client, I’ve noticed that some messages can apply to us all. There are certain Universal Truths that spirit guides have told me repeatedly throughout the years. I’ve concluded they must be part of life’s user manual that we misplaced as we transitioned into this world. Then again, maybe it’s been with us all along… buried a few layers below the surface. Like a forgotten memory Or anxiety.
That being the case, please consider the following items a gentle reminder from your spirit guides. Here’s what they want us to know as we navigate life:
Don’t take it too seriously. Life is meant to be fun. If you’re not enjoying the ride, something needs to change.
Fate and destiny exist to a certain point, but free will is the main driving force that shapes our lives. YOU are the captain of your ship and have the power to steer your life in any direction you wish.
The most important thing you’ll take with you to the afterlife is the love you shared with others and the memories you made along the way.
Strive to value experiences more than material items.
It’s okay to have an “off day” sometimes. Even the strongest and most positive people can be affected by tough times. Cut yourself a break, and know it’s okay to feel your feelings.
Humans are born to create! Be crafty. Be innovative. Think outside the box and try new hobbies.
Try to leave the world in better shape than when you arrived here.
Trust your intuition. It’s a compass, a little party favor that was tucked in your pocket before entering this world. Listen to your heart, and don’t let your head confuse the process.
Surround yourself with people who fill your cup and inspire you. You are the company you keep. (Spirit guides didn’t invent that quote, but they absolutely stand behind its meaning.)
Listen when children speak. They are infinitely wise and have a unique connection to the spirit world.
You are shaped by your past lifetimes in every way imaginable. You have lived before, and you will likely live again. This truth grants us immortality and unlimited chances to experience life through every conceivable lens. It’s the greatest gift we’ve ever been given.
Yes, your deceased loved ones are with you in spirit. Yes, they see what you’re doing and are incredibly proud of you. Keep in mind that nothing makes them happier than seeing you happy.
Don’t worry about fitting in. Don’t worry about standing out. Strive to be genuine. Fame and popularity are short-lived, but authenticity is timeless.
Laugh, joke, be silly, and embrace the whimsical side of life. (On a personal note, all my best friends are complete goofballs… and I wouldn’t have it any other way.)
Take adventures, travel often, and seek out new experiences. It’s the best way to learn new things and remain young at heart.
Those who speak the loudest don’t always have the most important things to say. Infuse your words with kindness and strive to listen (as opposed to merely waiting for your turn to speak.)
Take care of this planet. As of now, it’s the only one we’ve got.
Our pets are simply angels without wings.
Self-care is more important than ever before. To be there for others, you must be the best version of yourself. Place importance on your physical and mental health.
Don’t be fooled into thinking the world is a dark and scary place. Despite what you see on the news, the world is filled with good people and acts of kindness.
Miracles happen daily, and humans have the potential to be angels for one another.
There is far more to this reality than humans can possibly comprehend. Things we consider “paranormal” are merely the tip of the iceberg.
Empathy, patience, kindness, and inclusion are the pillars of civilization as we know it. We must uphold these values at all costs.
Dandelions are beautiful and should be considered a flower rather than a weed. (Okay, that’s just my opinion. Spirit guides have never weighed in on the matter.)
Our very existence is nothing short of a miracle. Strive to make each day count. Spread kindness like it’s candy at a parade. The love to give will always find its mark and eventually return to you tenfold.
I’m sure there will be a part two of this list in the coming weeks. Until then, let me know if other items should be added to the list.
