Hello, everyone! Happy Monday Fun Day. I’m going back to the well of questions submitted by people on my social media pages. Humans are curious creatures. Since the dawn of time, we’ve been asking questions and trying to find our place in life (and the afterlife.) In that spirit, here are a few questions I wanted to address.
Bobbie wants to know, “Do ghosts eat?”
Well, Bobbie, I just saw the new Ghostbusters movie at the theater. In that film, one of the kids tried to lure Slimer into the ghost trap with a trail of Cheetos. Slimer was gobbling them up so fast that he nearly fell for the trick. Of course, he’s not the smartest ghost. Or the most attractive. Slimer looks like a floating sinus infection if you ask me.
As for other ghosts, I can say for certain they’re capable of moving physical objects. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. Plus, I know several people who have seen an item disappear. In some cases, the item was never to be seen again. In other instances, the object reappeared later in a completely different part of the house - like in a closet storage bin that hadn’t been opened in years. This being the case, I bet food disappears every so often. So next time a cupcake goes missing, don’t blame the kids or the family dog too quickly. You could have a hungry ghost on your hands.
Kat asked the question, “Can a soul reincarnate within only a few years?”
Yes, Kat, a soul can enter a new lifetime just a few years after passing away. This is extremely rare, though, because most souls need time to rest and recover in the afterlife before coming back for another adventure. By the time we pass away, the battery of our spirit is virtually at zero. The longer we hang out in the Spirit World between lifetimes, the more our energy is restored. It’s typical for a person to spend a few decades in Heaven before mustering up the strength to come back again. But there are exceptions to this rule.
In extreme cases, a soul might pass away during an incident that was never part of their destiny. This can happen in mass tragedies you might see on the evening news. When this happens, a person might want to reincarnate rather quickly to continue working on time-sensitive goals or missions. Sure, they’ll get a new body and will then be on a slightly different trajectory… but they can essentially pick up where they left off in terms of soul lessons they wish to experience. Most interesting is when a soul reincarnates into the same family as their previous lifetime. Due to the quick turnaround and familiar faces, that person will likely have memories of their last life. My book, The Sky Diaries: A True Story of Reincarnation, is a good example of this. If you’re into angels, miracles, past lifetimes, and signs from beyond, this book will be right up your alley.
Jayne wrote to me, “There was a time when I could hear music that was not playing anywhere near me. Why don’t I have these experiences anymore?”
Ah yes. The age-old problem of hearing phantom music from an unknown location. I actually know a lot of folks who have experienced this oddball phenomenon. If this happens in a city, I’d chalk it up as a residual haunting or an “imprint.” In other words, the mystery music could be a hiccup on time, allowing the person to hear music played at that location a hundred years ago.
However, what makes this a real head-scratcher is that most people hear phantom music in rural areas and farmhouses—where the nearest neighbor is miles away, and nothing previously existed on the land. So, what the hell is actually going on? I have to admit, this one is puzzling. So Jayne, I award you twenty bonus points if you’re playing the game show Stump the Psychic.
Jennifer wanted to know, “When we want to talk to someone who has passed, can we just think it and they know… or do you need to say it aloud?”
If you speak to a deceased loved one out loud, they’ll surely hear you. I would suggest doing this while driving. If a nearby driver sees you and assumes you’re talking to yourself, just play it cool and act like you’re on speakerphone. Easy peasy.
If you quietly talk to your departed loved ones through your thoughts, prayers, or meditations, rest assured they can still hear you. They’ll notice a change in your energy or frequency from the afterlife. This will intuitively alert them… almost like a psychic version of a text message. When they receive this message, they will stop what they’re doing and tune into what you’re saying. I imagine your Uncle Gary in Heaven saying, “Hold my beer. My daughter lost her car keys again and needs my help.”
That’s all for now. Keep those questions coming over on my Facebook page. I’ll announce some upcoming events soon, so stay tuned for more info.
