Each day, I go on adventures with the spirit guides of my clients. It’s more entertaining than watching a movie! In these meditative experiences, the guardian angels share detailed information on topics such as family, past lifetimes, future events, health, career, soul lessons, and so much more. I type up several pages of information based on what I learned, and I email it to my clients. It’s essentially a psychic reading in written form. I call them Soul Discoveries.
The feedback is always interesting (and sometimes, astonishing). What you’re about to read is a Soul Discovery I did for a client named Katrina last summer. It includes her word-for-word responses to various segments of the write-up. You’ll find them in italics throughout the experience. I’ve been given permission to share this publicly, and I hope it gives everyone an idea of what Soul Discoveries are all about. More importantly, I hope it lends validation to the fact that spirit guides are real and know a great deal about our lives and those we love.
I found myself standing in a long hallway with closed doors on each side. The hallway was brightly lit and very whimsical, with rainbow-striped colors on the floor, walls, and ceiling.
Resting on a small side table was something that resembled a vase. It was clear, and inside it were hundreds, if not thousands of quarters. I was trying to figure out what it was. And just then, a voice behind me said, “It’s her swear jar.”
I turned around and was greeted by a tall man with dark hair and dark features. In appearance, he reminded me of a younger Billy Zane (the famous actor). He introduced himself as Ed… one of your spirit guides. I asked what was up with the swear jar. He was stoic in his delivery, but I could tell there was humor in his words. He said that each time you cuss (which is often), he or one of your other spirit guides drops a quarter into the jar. “A few decades from now,” he said, “we’ll have saved up enough to buy a one-way ticket to Mars.”
Yes, I swear, A LOT so it’s good to know they have a swear jar for me that keeps them busy.
I couldn’t help but ask about his Mars comment and space travel… wondering if we’d all have a chance to go at some point in the future. He didn’t answer my question but instead playfully raised an eyebrow as though he knew the answer but wasn’t allowed to tell me. He changed the subject and began talking about the doors in the hallway. He said each door represents various aspects of yourself, and a few represent those you love most. He said they were no ordinary doors but rather thresholds to the playground of the soul.
I asked him which I should go into first. He said it was up to me and suggested I would meet a lot of interesting characters through this experience. I approached a door that was marked with a little plaque that said 1 H. I chuckled because it reminded me of an apartment room number or something. “Ah,” said Ed. The eldest daughter. Nice choice. But be careful in there. It’s a real mess, so watch your step.” He was smiling, so I assumed he meant she’s cluttered and disorganized rather than her “soul” is messy.
I opened the door, and it was not a room at all. It was an entire world that seemed to stretch on forever. The general terrain reminded me of a whimsical fantasy world, like a scene from Alice in Wonderland. For the first ten yards or so, I walked along a garden area where there were countless stepping stones, each having its own theme. One displayed a peace sign, another showed a heart, and a third showed a paw print… so I assume this daughter is an animal lover.
Somewhere in the garden was a painting easel holding a picture with roses on it. There was a ceramic animal statue of some kind. And, funny enough, there were a few beer bottles and liquor bottles scattered about, like some college kids had thrown a party recently (haha). On a serious note, this could also indicate an addictive personality, so this daughter should be mindful of that moving forward and practice self-control.
“Self-control and balance should be there in abundance for her. After all, she’s a Libra.” The voice came over my shoulder. I turned around and was greeted by a woman with a short, bobbed hairdo. She introduced herself as Varishna but said most people call her V. I asked V if she was one of your spirit guides, but she said no… she’s here to assist your firstborn daughter who was represented by this whimsical area.
She said she has a big heart and an equally big brain. The difference is that she doesn’t always use her head… and sometimes ignores red flags when dating someone new. Yet, she cannot hide her big heart. She’s a giver, a lover, someone who is naturally sweet, kind, and generous. Others might mistake this kindness for weakness and take advantage of her unless she practices good boundaries. She’s very unorganized and tends to lose things, including money, her sunglasses, and her phone. She’s a bit scatterbrained at times and should focus more while driving.
Music is in her soul. She’s had plenty of music-oriented past lifetimes. She is abundantly creative, and doing creative hobbies will raise her vibration. She desires to make a difference in the world, to help and heal and inspire others. She will do this in her own way, in her own time. Follow-through might prove to be difficult for her, though, so if attending college is a means to an end, it might take her a while to finish. She’s very bright. It’s just a matter of time management and focus. V insisted I should return to the hallway because there were other doors to explore.
So on to the doors…1 H is for Haley, my eldest daughter, who is in fact a Libra! I can see her world being like Alice in Wonderland because she is such a character has a huge heart and will break her leg to help an animal in need. She works for pest control, and they bring her the animals they catch so she can help them back to health. Ah the alcohol in her world… yes, she was addicted for a while, and does have an addictive personality, she is aware of it now. Varishna does know Haley! She can be absent-minded, she does ignore red flags, but she has been working on her boundaries with people. She and I would listen to music in the car and sing our hearts out, so music is for sure in her soul.
Once back inside, I found Ed casually sitting on a bench and reading the newspaper (a rare activity nowadays). He didn’t even look up, but he made an off-hand comment about the cost of living nowadays, as though he was immersed in the article. I just shrugged and chose another door. This one was blue and displayed the number 2.
Ed made a comment about how it correlated to your second-oldest son. He joked, “Don’t step on a land mind while you’re in there.” I didn’t get the reference, so he explained further that this boy has had many military-related past lifetimes.
I stepped through the door, and it was a massive world consisting mostly of plains and rolling hills. There were mountains in the distance, though. Most interesting was the massive obstacle course. It indeed looked like a training course for a military soldier, and it stretched on forever. Before I could even make my way down into the valley, I was greeted by a spirit guide who looks over this son of yours. She introduced herself as Evelyn. I asked what she could tell me about boy number two.
She said the obstacle course represents the various challenges he’s destined to navigate throughout his life. He has the heart of a soldier and a warrior, which will serve him well as he fights battles both externally and internally. He’s going through those oh-so-fun coming-of-age hormonal changes at the moment, she said. The spike in testosterone will have him moody and edgy at times. At best, he’ll be cocky, arrogant, and sarcastic when responding to others. At worst, he might display some anger or aggression, such as throwing a gaming controller when he’s angry.
Routine and structure are paramount for him. So is getting enough sleep. Make sure this summer doesn’t completely turn his sleep schedule upside down by him staying up all night and sleeping all day. In terms of diet, he craves carbs, sugars, and junk food. There are not enough nutrients in his diet. She made a joke about force-feeding him a blended shake of fruits and vegetables.
He’s very impatient, but this could be related to his age, and he may outgrow this in time. Ages 18, 22, 26, 33, and 39 are highlight years for him – make-or-break years where he’ll be given the opportunity to excel if he can muster up the motivation and focus to keep his life on track. Evelyn said motivation is hit or miss with him. But finding his passion in a career he enjoys will someday help with that. He may have a knack for electronics and technology, but it’s more likely he’ll someday be employed in a field where he can work with his hands (plumber, welder, carpenter, electrician, etc). If so, good for him! Those jobs don’t require years and years of college or student loans… and they make a lot of money.
Number 2, this was Kyle, my fourth child and 2nd oldest son at 16. When he was a small boy, he was obsessed with the military and all things war-related, he is still a professional at the gun range. He does like to have routine and craves structure which I try to give the best I can. He can be impatient and does not eat what’s best for him. He has recently wanted to enroll in a mechanics class which goes with what Evelyn said, working with his hands.
I stepped back into the hallway. Sure enough, Ed was standing there holding a cup that looked like an iced coffee. “Cappuccino?” he asked. I just chuckled and rolled my eyes. His deadpan delivery was quite funny to me for some reason. Of course, I explained that I could not physically drink anything since I was meditating on your behalf. He joked that he could put something extra in the cappuccino to “spice up the whole experience” for you a bit. Again, I laughed and politely declined.
I saw a white door that had “L 3” listed on the front. Ed said it correlated to your third son. And the door was white because he’s a relatively “pure” spirit – kind, empathetic, and inclusive by nature. I walked through the doorway. Rather than an outdoor scene, this was essentially a science lab. I saw microscopes, building blocks, miniature planets dangling from a string, some blueprints of a rocket ship, and funny emojis taped to the wall for some color.
Once inside, I was greeted by an absent-minded professor in a lab coat. He was white, bald, and carried around a clipboard. He insisted he was a spirit guide for this son of yours. He called himself Vincenzo and spoke with an Italian accent (which made it fun to interact with him and ask questions). He insisted everything in this lab correlates to your son's past lifetimes and possibly present-day interests as well. In his past lives, he’s been a scientist, architect, engineer, astronomer, and comedian, among other things. I noticed lots of plants lining a shelf near a corner window. “Oh, and he’s been a master gardener and botanist a few times before as well,” he said.
I asked what he could share about this son. He said this young man might be prone to weight fluctuations since his metabolism varies from year to year. He’ll be very curious and has a mind like a steel trap (at least when it comes to things he’s interested in). He has been your father once before in a past life, so do not be surprised if he’s paternal when you’re under the weather or stressed about something. He has the ability to earn good grades in school, but it will all depend on whether he likes the teacher or not. Therefore, his grades might be up and down from one year to the next.
He should wash his hands more often and more thoroughly. You might notice he’s more susceptible to getting sick, especially when it comes to things that affect his throat (like strep.) Stomach viruses will also pop up with him more often than most, but can be remedied with better hygiene.
He will be very into his likes and interests, even if they are lesser-known activities. He’s not as worried about fitting in. He just marches to the beat of his own drum. He will shy away from the limelight and doesn’t mind flying under the radar (especially if it gives him less responsibility – ha ha). He’s a good soul, and you’re lucky to have each other.
I thanked Vincenzo for his time. He assured me that this son was on track and right where he needed to be in life. He did say, however, that he would appreciate more one-on-one time with you, even if he hasn’t verbalized it. I promised I would pass that along to you.
L 3 is certainly Liam, my 5th child who is the youngest at 14. For the longest time, I have known that he is pure and full of innocence. He is such a huge sweetheart and genuinely cares for people. He is so stinking smart when it comes to things like science, Legos (building blocks), and has wanted to go into space for years now, to the point where I am considering NASA camp. Vincenzo wow I love this name (so did Liam when I shared this with him)! Everything he was in his past; I truly believe it. He has struggled with his weight over the last year. You know, it does not surprise me he was my father in my past because he does get very protective over me when I am stressed out, which makes a lot of sense now. He does need to stop chewing his fingernails and wash his hands more. I try my hardest to spend lots of time with him but will be sure to make it more so now.
I walked back into the rainbow hallway. This time, Ed was staring me down with a look that said, “Okay, it’s time to choose Katrina’s door for a change.” I apologized for spending so much time on the kiddos. He said there was no room for apologies during this meditation, so it was all good. However, he joked that you might fire him if I came back without messages for YOU. To make my job easier, he’d hung up Christmas lights all around the door frame of the room that contained insights for you… which eliminated all guesswork for me.
I made my way to your door. I opened it, and what I saw took my breath away. Sunshine came pouring in, and I stepped onto a patio terrace area that was high up an ancient-looking village. Houses and buildings were stacked closely together, sloping downward and upward through the countryside. I knew I was stepping back in time. The village sort of reminded me of the setting for the Disney movie Luca (if you’ve seen that one). It was stunningly beautiful! The buildings were tan and made of brick/stone. Oddly enough, even though it was daytime, I could somehow still see stars in the sky.
Just then, I was greeted by a woman in a white shirt. She introduced herself as Gabby. She was beautiful and had dark black skin and curly hair. In a serene voice, she said, “Welcome to Umbria.”
I must stop here and admit that after my meditation, I had to Google that because I’ve never heard of Umbria before. It turns out that it’s somewhere in Italy, and it’s actually a real place. While speaking with Gabby, she said you lived there long ago in one of your all-time favorite lifetimes. I asked what you did there. She said you did many things.
You were a female artist and scholar who was hopelessly curious. You loved creating paintings, sculpting pottery, and reading every book you could get your hands on. You were a student of life and quite the daydreamer. Your mom died young, but you were raised by your father, who was your hero and best friend. He was wealthy and taught you the importance of being charitable. You never had your own children back then, which was unfortunate because you loved kids. So, you volunteered your time mentoring young women and teaching them arts and crafts.
Wow, when I read about this, I got chills down my spine! UMBRIA!!!! Oh my goodness I love the movie Luca and I love this so much! I had to pause here and Google Umbria too and my goodness it is a beautiful place. Funny story, a few years back I was really looking into living in Italy for a few years because the land is plentiful and pretty cheap if I remember. Even though I am not artistic in this lifetime I am obsessed with paintings and pottery and can’t get enough education
I walked with Gabby through this surreal village. I asked her to lay it on me and give me everything she could possibly say about you. The whole time, I just couldn’t get over how pretty it all was. At one point, I saw hot air balloons flying off in the distance. She said they represent the fact that your spirit is always soaring despite Earth’s heavy vibration. Even cooler, I saw what looked to be jellyfish-like things in the sky that were leaving sparkles and swirl patterns behind them. She said jellyfish are actually one of your Spirit Animals. Yes, they can be dangerous, but they’re also so magnificent and beautiful (the same could be said about life itself, which she said is very appropriate).
I can only imagine what the sky looked like! My spirit is always soaring, she is right. No matter what I am always carrying myself to look at the positive side of things and to keep flying high. A JELLYFISH?! HOW COOL! That’s been a tattoo idea of mine.
She said, “Old habits die hard,” and you’re currently just as curious now as you were back then in Umbria. You still like to read and learn new things. You’ll end up being that old fart who is still earning degrees and certifications long into twilight years. Those are her words, not mine. Haha!
I’m still in college – even at this stage in my life!
I asked her what would make you most happy in terms of work. She said there were plenty of past lifetimes where you gravitated toward healthcare-type roles… but you often became burnt out because of all the blood, guts, and trauma involved. Currently, you might want to steer clear of a job in a hospital. However, she’s giving you the green light and two thumbs up if you decide to help people on a spiritual level or with their mental health. You’re a natural helper, healer, counselor, and mentor. If you decide you want to get paid for that work rather than handing out “freebies,” then she said to make it happen.
Funny, I always said I can’t stand the smell of hospitals, so I will stay away from any type of work trauma related. I am on my path of being a counselor/healer/helper!
She said you are fiercely loyal to those you love and are the quintessential mama bear. It’s what makes you tick. Finding balance (and peace and quiet) might be tricky at times. Rarely do you have your own space or much privacy. That said, you’re so used to controlled chaos that having a quiet sanctuary would be a little foreign to you.
I am for sure mama bear because those are my babies and my life. So, I cannot tell you the last time I had a room that I called only mine, I have always shared my room with my kids and they always just walked right in when they wanted, so to have peace and quiet is not in my life right now. haha but I wouldn't change it for the world. Controlled chaos is the story of my life lol.
I asked if you were an old soul. She giggled and said something to the effect that we humans love to place labels on things. She then grew quiet for a second and asked me to look at the sky. I did and commented on how I could see the moon and twinkling stars even though it was daytime. I asked why that was and what those stars represented. “Can you count how many there are?” she asked me.
It was a silly question, so I said, “Of course I can’t. There are thousands and thousands of them.”
“Much like Katrina's past lifetimes… they are too numerous to quantify.” I nodded silently because she had just answered my old soul question.
“As to why you can see them even during the daytime,” she continued. “That’s simple. They’re always there, ever-present, glowing in the background and shaping her current personality. The sun may represent her present life – in all its luminous glory. But her past is still influential and beautiful in its own right.”
I wanted to know more about you in the present and your future. She said you are deserving of love, and you must keep this in mind. There have been times when those you trusted most betrayed you and turned against you. Some of them even did unspeakable and unforgivable things to those you care about. Moving forward, whether you’re currently seeing someone or might do so in the future, just remember that you are worthy and deserving. You’re a good soul through and through. However, you’re also incredibly independent. She said this doesn’t necessarily cause you to shy away from being in a relationship. It just means that if you are in one, your partner should be equally self-sufficient; otherwise, you’ll get tired of entertaining him all the time.
Gabby truly sounds like someone I want to have a conversation with, I love her. I feel I am an old soul, from many lifetimes. Hmm that is quite heartbreaking that she knows how much people have hurt me and done things to my children. I will keep in mind I am deserving of love, as hard as it is to imagine, I will keep it in my thoughts. I am so independent, and I refuse to entertain anyone in my life who can’t match my energy. Gabby is right on!
Gabby said that in October of this year, you’ll experience a boost of intuition. That will happen again next March and April. Always trust your gut, but especially during those windows of time. Your nightly dreams are likely to become bonkers and completely wacky toward the end of this summer. It might be best if you don’t remember them at all, but if you do, be prepared for them to leave you scratching your head.
I have marked my calendar for this October and next March and April, I wonder what dreams I’ll have.
On the health front, watch your blood sugars and watch the carbs. You could benefit from taking fish oil pills and a calcium supplement, too. Gabby called you the Energizer Bunny because you somehow just keep going and going… like you have an extra gear or an extra gas tank. Don’t push yourself *too* hard, or else you’ll crash and end up sleeping for a twelve-hour stretch because your body needs the rest. She joked that you don’t want to sleep that long because you have too much to get done. So, please just know your limits and get rest when your body tells you to.
I have been struggling with watching my carbs and blood sugars for a while now, to the point I have to get doctors involved, so I will look at fish oil pills and calcium. Haha lol the energizer bunny. I do keep going no matter what is in my way or how little sleep I get, life is too busy and I do not want to miss a minute of it!
2027 is likely to see a major bucket list family trip. Just about everyone will be able to make it, and this might include some extended family members or friends as well. One of the kids might be slightly under the weather but in good spirits during this time. Another of them will be healthy but a wet blanket due to a poor attitude. She did not say who is who, though. Nevertheless, it will be a good trip.
I am ecstatic for 2027, we take vacations every year so in 3 years, we planned on doing a Scotland/Ireland/England vacation that year!
We reached a point on our walk where we saw a brick wall filled with hanging plants. She insisted the vines that overflowed from the pots represent the joy you share with others. You have so much in your heart that it cannot be contained. It spills into the lives of others via your laughter, your humor, and your zest for life.
Some of the stones were colored a different shade than the others. Written on them were words that I learned correlate to your various soul missions (life purposes). Here’s a mock-up of what it looked like, but I’m sorry to say I didn’t have time to add all the words on the bricks.
Some of the life purposes I remember reading are as follows: Trust your instincts and give second chances (but not third chances). Pacing yourself. Seeking knowledge. Having fun and seeking adventure. The pursuit of knowledge. Remaining childlike at heart. Knowing your limits. Setting boundaries. Finding balance. Longevity and self-care. Remaining true to your values. Cutting ties when necessary. And last but not least, strengthening your connection with animals and the natural world.
As you can imagine, the font of some of this print was pretty small to fit each soul goal onto a given brick. At this point, Gabby insisted my time with her was nearing an end. She said that staying hydrated will help you avoid headaches. And that in the coming years, you’ll have an abundance of opportunities to help those less fortunate than yourself. Take those opportunities and spread your light to others, she said. With that, light began to filter in from all around until everything grew so bright the entire scene dematerialized.
Awe a brick wall with plants, I love plants, and the bricks with my soul missions? I love them and all of them I will continue to work on. I am looking forward to helping others in the future. All of this hits home, so much so I can’t get enough of the discovery and catch myself smiling and crying every time I reread it, Andy. Thank you so very much for sharing your gift. I am lost for words, and that’s hard to do. Please send a thank you to everyone who came to help you while reading me! I also shared this information with all three kids; they are just as touched as I am. Haley will be emailing you shortly. My family has the utmost respect for you and your family, Andy.
