It’s said that the most intelligent person in the room is the one who asks the most questions. If that’s true, there must be some geniuses over on my Facebook page. Each week, I ask followers to submit intriguing questions. And boy, do they deliver!

Before I respond to some of those questions, I want to remind everyone there is a HUGE prize giveaway in the works. Anyone who is a paid subscriber to this blog is automatically in the running to win a $444 Soul Discovery session (a written form of psychic reading that’s ten pages long.) The winner will be announced on March 25th. It’s only $5 per month to become a subscriber here. And even if you’re not the winner, you might stick around for the fascinating content. Now, let’s get to the questions…

Sara wanted to know, “Can our deceased pets help bring new animals into our lives?”

Yes! Here’s a story for ya… A couple of years ago, I lost my dog and best buddy, Zico (whom many of you had the pleasure of meeting.) In the moments that Zico was peacefully passing away inside my home, I looked out to my back patio and cardinals were flying around. One of the cardinals landed on a flower planter near the patio and danced around on top for a moment. I figured it was a sign from the heavens, but I had no idea how significant that flower pot would become. This past November, I looked out the window and found a stray orange cat curled up and sleeping inside that very same flower pot. I began leaving the cat food, water, and a heating pad on my back steps. After several weeks, I earned the trust of the skittish cat. He’d come inside each day for a few minutes but preferred to sleep outside in the heated cat box each night. He’d be waiting on my back steps each morning as I pulled open the curtains. Then, during a blizzard this past January, he came inside and never left. We named him Eggnog. Our older cat has adjusted to the change, and they’re now best friends.

I can’t help but wonder if Zico sent Eggnog to me. The cardinal and the flower pot are a little too synchronistic to be a coincidence. Stranger still, a part of me wonders if Eggnog IS Zico (reincarnated.) Their similarities are mind-blowing! They’re the same color and temperament. Throughout his life, Zico always held up one paw while sitting. Eggnog does the same. Zico would only sleep on my right side while curled up in bed, and Eggnog now occupies the same exact place. Zico was a picky eater and so is Eggnog. I could go on and on. Can animals reincarnate? I’ll let you decide. But to answer Sara’s question - YES, our deceased pets (and other loved ones in the spirit world) can work miracles to align us with a pet destined to change our lives.

Berry asked the question, “Do you know what a ‘walk-in’ is?”

Yes, but it’s a lesser-known phenomenon that most are unfamiliar with. A walk-in refers to the idea that a soul can enter the body of a living person and “take over” that person’s life. Meanwhile, the original occupant of the body crosses into the afterlife. Essentially, it’s like dying without the physical body perishing. It sounds a little dark… similar to a possession. But I’d like to consider it the soul equivalent of antiquing or upcycling. You know, like person B asks person A, “Hey, are you done with that body? If so, mind if I use it for a while? I could repurpose it and spruce it up a bit.” I suppose it would bypass the funeral part of dying and the baby delivery part of being born. Just a like-for-like switcharoo. Is this a real phenomenon?

The jury is still out. However, what makes this compelling is that some people cannot remember their youth up until a certain age. Do these folks simply have a poor memory? Or is it a case of a soul walking into an existing body, and that’s where the person’s memories begin?

There aren’t enough cases to definitively explain what’s going on here. But there is a movie called K-Pax that revolves around this subject. It’s a mind-bender of a film that I would highly suggest watching if you like psychological thrillers.

Bobbie submitted a great question. “Do spirits talk? I was sitting in my living room, and something bumped into the dining room cabinet and said, “Excuse me, I didn’t mean to do that.”

We’ve all heard of Casper the friendly ghost. But a ghost who is also polite? This might be a first. For some reason, I imagine this ghost wearing a tweed jacket and speaking with a British accent. “Beg your pardon, dear human, but could I trouble you for a spot of tea?”

Yes, Bobbie, spirits can talk. When I give presentations, I often poll the audience to see how many people have heard their names said out loud by an unseen presence in the room. Typically, around 25% of the people raise their hands. When this occurs, it’s usually a spirit guide or departed loved one acknowledging us. It’s pretty common. In fact, I’ve heard full-blown spirit conversations in the hallway outside my bedroom. It didn’t sound very interesting, so I rolled over and went back to sleep. Anyhow, I can’t help but laugh at the thought of a clumsy ghost who stubs a toe on household furniture. I would have guessed a ghost toe would pass straight through a cabinet. Who knew?

Sheri said, “Cell Memory! Do people like NASCAR drivers and football players who end up with traumatic brain injuries have this affect their next life? Could it manifest in a future life as a migraine or brain tumor?

Yes, it’s possible for past life injuries to manifest in the present. But just as often, past life talents and interests are carried into this lifetime. It accounts for child prodigies who display breathtaking skill sets as though they’re remembering a talent rather than learning from scratch. What’s even more astonishing is cases of acquired savant syndrome. There are cases worldwide of people who endure head trauma, and when they wake up from the coma, they can suddenly perform a unique skill set they’ve never had before. This includes speaking fluently in a foreign language they never studied or becoming a mathematical savant overnight. How do scientists and scholars explain these cases?
